One of the highlights of the Batanes Week celebration on June 25 -31, 2014, is the product exhibit at the Agro Industrial Fair held at the Batan Plaza, Basco, Batanes. Different products as well as services were showcased by different line agencies, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the different Local Government Units of Batanes Province.

The booth of the Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) in Batanes showcased the different projects and programs of DOST namely Science and Technology Academic Resource Based Openly Operated Kiosk System (STARBOOKS) installed in the different municipalities of the province, Automatic Rain Gauge (ARG)  and the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program. Products of SET-UP beneficiaries in the province were also showcased.

Also, as part of the celebration, PSTC Batanes  joined in the parade participated by National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, Academe, and the Provincial Local Government of Batanes. The opening program was graced by the Honorable Vice-President Jejomar C. Binay as Guest of Honor and Speaker.  Also present during the activity was Honorable Henedina S. Abad, Representative, Lone District of Batanes and Hon. Sherwin Gonzales, Representative  of Caloocan City.   (Nongsky)
